If you’re looking to get a handle on the basic techniques in the kitchen, or want to hone your skills while making new friends, this is the class for you. You'll learn about proper knife techniques, make a tasty meal, try some delicious non-alcoholic drinks, all while in a booze-free space.

FRESH PASTA & PRODUCE (VEGETARIAN & LGBTQ+ friendly)

Our previous class was held in Chinatown and it was a wonderful success. This time we're cooking in a private Brooklyn kitchen in Williamsburg. Chef Rachel Signer will focus on fresh pasta and produce, so this class is meatless! We also want to make sure LGBTQ+ folx in recovery know it's a safe, sober space for them, too (allies are always welcome). 

Featuring:

  • Rachel's fool-proof pasta dough recipe AND a gluten-free recipe

  • Hand-selected produce from the Union Square Market that morning

  • Several sauces (tbd from the market haul)

  • Knife skills

  • Light seasonal dessert

  • No-ABV beverage pairings

The kitchen we’re using, Home Cooking Kitchen, is centrally located in Manhattan near the Canal St. subways (158 Grand Street) and this class is one of their most popular offerings. The class will also include some beverage pairing ideas that go beyond soda water and a lime.
